Angelina Carione joined NW Financial in April of 2016. Ms. Carione came to NW with extensive experience in education, non-profit organizations, and business development within both industries. Ms. Carione brings far more than a decade of experience in business development and consulting to her role at NW along with vitality, professionalism, and a mindset of service and advocacy to her work with clients.
Ms. Carione’s primary focus is to build awareness about NW’s unique capabilities among prospective clients and develop and maintain relationships with current and past clients. Her business development practice is focused on NW’s unequaled ability to provide financial advisory services to local governments, boards of education, and non-profit groups in New Jersey. She is responsible for client management regarding the issuance of bonds, leases, and consulting services. She has experience in grant writing and has provided consulting services to Cumberland County College and other educational entities.
Ms. Carione has been active in women’s and civic organizations and is a current member of New Jersey ASBO and GFOA. She carries a master’s degree from Rowan University and is currently working on a second master’s degree from Rosemont College. She was awarded an Educational Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities for overseas study. She has presented original research at international conferences in Philadelphia, Boston, London, and Ireland and has provided testimony to the New Jersey State Board of Education and the New Jersey Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee regarding school district funding.
During her time at the firm, Ms. Carione has assisted several NJ school districts in Burlington County with Lease Purchase Agreements to secure funds for much needed materials and resources for teachers and students.
Most recently, Ms. Carione has contributed to the Passaic County CARES Act Grant Project in which she helped create and manage the grant review process. She has widespread knowledge of the CARES grant and the application process. Ms. Carione communicates directly with municipal and county officials to resolve application questions, concerns, and issues. She has helped streamline the review process and expedite applications to ensure municipalities receive their CARES funds faster.
