Edward F. Dempsey, Sr.

Edward F. Dempsey, Sr. joined NW Capital in December of 2023 bringing with him over 49 years of experience in state government and financial services.

Prior to NW Financial, Mr. Dempsey served as Vice President of Public Finance at Boenning & Scattergood since February 2014.
Mr. Dempsey’s work experience includes serving as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he served as Deputy State Treasurer for the state of Pennsylvania. Mr. Dempsey also served in the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General and various senior-level positions including special assistant to the Auditor General. Lastly served as Vice President for Public Finance at PNC Capital Markets.

Additionally, Mr. Dempsey held various other positions over the last 36 years with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. His career in state government began with an appointment as a field auditor in the Auditor General’s Office, under then Auditor General Robert P. Casey, Sr. Later, under Governor Robert P. Casey. Mr. Dempsey accepted various assignments in the Casey Administration, including Executive Director of the Governor’s Action Center, Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet, Director of the Northeast Regional Office of Community Affairs, Deputy Secretary for Community Affairs, and Acting Secretary of Community Affairs.
