A. Theodore Palatucci, Senior Vice President
tpalatucci@nwfinancial.comTed Palatucci spearheads NW Financial’s new Philadelphia-area office and joins the firm with more than three decades of fixed income experience. A nationally recognized expert in municipal securities, Mr. Palatucci has served state and local governments across the nation from the State of California to the State of New York. He has also served major utility authorities, transportation authorities, schools, universities, and many other agencies at every level of government. In addition, Ted has developed expertise in the securitization of government lease projects, assisting Federal agencies, all the major branches of the Armed Forces, and major corporations in energy improvements, communications networks, and financial transactions for other significant projects.
Among Mr. Palatucci’s previous employers was Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for the firm’s national Municipal Markets capital commitments and served on the firm’s risk management committee. His responsibilities included all underwriting and trading activity for both short term and long term issues and managing a multibillion dollar risk position with a staff of more than 40 professionals. During his tenure, he led the team that created and executed the first tax exempt interest rate swaps, the first large scale Tender Option transactions, and many other large scale, complex transactions designed to solve client and customer problems.
Mr. Palatucci served on the Bond Market Association (now SIFMA) committee that worked with the Chicago Board of Trade in the creation of the municipal bond futures contracts. He serves the investment community in Philadelphia as chairman of the Bond Club and as treasurer of that organization’s Scholarship Fund
Mr. Palatucci earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the US Naval Academy and is a former combat aviator. He holds FINRA Licenses 7 (General Securities Representative), 24 (General Securities Principal), 53 (Municipal Securities Principal), and 63 (Uniform Securities Agent) along with several FAA licenses.
