dje@nwfinancial.comDennis J. Enright is a Principal and Founder of NW Financial. Prior to forming NW Financial, Mr. Enright served as Senior Managing Director of NatWest Bank and was responsible for governmental and institutional advisory services and underwritings. During his tenure at NatWest, he was responsible for providing services in: municipal finance; institutional advisory products; private placements; bond underwritings; tax credit investments; letters of credit; and bridge loans. Prior to joining NatWest Bank, Mr. Enright was the founder and Senior Partner of Enright & Company, a private investment banking firm, which handled over $5 billion of financing assignments in its 9 years of operations. Enright & Company was awarded an Institutional Investor "Deal of the Year" for its work at the New Jersey Highway Authority. Mr. Enright has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of financial advisory and investment banking, including: solid waste, alternative energy, affordable housing; water and sewer; economic development; general obligation; pooled loans; lease financings, and transportation. Specific issues in which he has been involved include notes, bonds, and certificates of participation, custodial receipts, variable rate demand bonds, refinancings, and debt restructurings.
Most recently, Mr. Enright has become a leader in the national transportation debate about the use of public/private partnerships as funding agents. In February of 2007, Mr. Enright testified to the United States House of Representatives representing the financial community with a specialty in public/private partnerships and transportation project financing at the Subcommittee of Highways and Transit "Public-Private Partnerships: Financing and Protecting the Public Interest" hearing.
Mr. Enright managed Thomson McKinnon Securities Inc.’s Public Finance Department where he served as investment banker for over $2 billion of public debt offerings. Prior to that, he worked in the public sector for eight years and held the position of Jersey City’s Director of Planning and Development. Mr. Enright has served on the boards of a variety of not-for-profit organizations including: Liberty State Park Development Corporation, Richard Hughes Foundation and the Guarini Center for Public Policy.
Mr. Enright has a Masters Degree from the New York University School of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science from St. Peter’s College.
